Sandstone is the main station and terminius of the line.
The building is carved from Hebel bricks, and has a stained glass window and clock tower with working clock.
There are 4 loops and 4 sidings and a turntable and goods shed.

It is possible to continue past Sandstone on the "Colliery Branch". This allows two options..
1. to return to Maple Jn and thus back to Melaleuca - ie in the reverse direction to that which we have just come,
2. to continue round and round the yard - ie back to Oleander, Ti-tree etc.

This is between Sandstone and Maple - the 3rd path crossing is in the background.


and running through the coal loader will go around the yard again.
