Soo Subdivision Footnotes

The times for Trains No. 1 and 2 at Sault Ste. Marie and Steelton, applies at Passenger depot and Steelton Yard Office respectively.

Train No. 1 will leave Sault Ste. Marie without obtaining clearance and will obtain clearance at Steelton. Trains No. 1 and 2 will register by register ticket at Steelton.

Movements across Andrew, Gore, Bruce, and Dennis Streets must not exceed 5 m.p.h., whistle signal 14(L) must be sounded and Rule 103 Paragraph 1 applicable.

Whistle signal 14(L) must be sounded and Rule 30 observed approaching private crossings at Queen Street mileage 1.29.

Rule 14(L) does not apply for public crossings at:

  1. Huron Street, Mileage 0.63
  2. Conmee Avenue, Mileage 2.43
  3. Second Line, Mileage 2.80
  4. People's Road, Mileage 3.31

Movements on main track across Queen Street Mileage 1.29 must not exceed 20 m.p.h. and movements from other tracks onto this crossing must not exceed 5 m.p.h.

Movements on main track across Conmee Avenue Mileage 2.43 must not exceed 20 m.p.h. and movements from other tracks onto this crossing must not exceed 10 m.p.h.

Movements across Huron Street Mileage 0.63 and People's Road Mileage 3.31 must not exceed 20 m.p.h.

Movements on main track across Second Line Crossing Mileage 2.80, must not 20 m.p.h.

Rule 103 Paragraph 1 must be observed for movements across the private roadways of the Algoma Steel Corporation which includes Queen Street, and across public roadways at Huron Street, Conmee Avenue, Second Line and People's Road.

When placing cars in Weldwood of Canada North Spur at Searchmont, they are to be placed just over and clear of crossing. Spotting of cars is not to be made beyond this point.

Engines must not operate beyond the derail in Ontario Hydro spur Mileage 148.8. When using reachers use cars that are 52 feet or shorter.

The time for Trains No. 1 and 2 at Hawk Junction applies at the station. Train No. 2 must obtain clearance at Hawk Junction.

Yard Limit signs are reflectorized.

The main track switch leading into the Abitibi Paper Company Mileage 1.33 is now a spring switch with normal position being lined for the Abitibi Spur. A derail has been installed in the spur about 250 feet from the switch. Switch lamp and target will indicate red when lined for the spur. It will be necessary to stop at this switch and line same for movements South and switch is to be returned to normal position immediately after being used.

There is no light in train order signal Mekatina from Sunet Mondays to Sunrise Wednesdays. Trains will be governed by day signal indications.
