Ambroid Wood Craftsman Kits

S Series

There was also an S-series in S-scale. These cars were S-scale versions of some of the K-kits. They were sold with either "scale" or with "tinplate" wheels. As far as the kit numbers go, they seem to be the same as the Northeastern numbers, i.e. the scale followed by the car type and a sequence number. The two that have this type of number, have the same numbers as the Northeastern S-scale kit numbers. Only the Snow Plow is without a number, which is consistent with the K-series at the time the S kits were released. Northeastern had at least 10 S-kits, but so far I have only seen these three kits sold under the Ambroid name.

Click on the Kit Name to get the detailed description of the kit, Click on the camera symbol to get a picture of the built kit.

A list of the Northeastern kits is included for reference purposes.
