Amtrak Amfleet II Coach #25049

Built by Budd as a 59 seat long-distance coach in June 1982 and numbered 25049. Refurbished with a baggage area in place of four seats near the vestibule end in 2002 for use on the Silver Palm and Carolinian Business Class and renumbered 26049. Converted back to its original configuration in 2005 and renumbered back to 25049. The original single seat was located near the the accessible restroom in the vestibule end of the car for use by a physically challenged passenger. The single seat has since been removed and a normal double-seat is now available and today these cars are equipped with a total of 58 seats.
