Built by General Electric Transportation Systems in May 2001 and numbered 164. This series of locomotives, also known as the Genesis Series II locomotives, were an upgraded version of the P40DC. This photo shows #164 in Amtrak's "Phase IV" paint scheme which was previously applied to P42DC #184 but when that unit was repainted back into Phase V in 2023, this unit was selected to be repainted into Phase IV to serve as the new official Phase IV Heritage Unit.
