Amtrak's Superliner Transition Sleeper Car Roster Photos
GENERAL: Amtrak's Double Level Crew Dorm/Sleeping Cars for Long-Distance Trains that permit them due to their height.
TERRITORY: These cars can be seen running on long-distance trains out West as well as on the Capitol Limited & Auto Train in the East. Due to their higher clearance requirements, these cars never run on trains originating from or heading to New York.
NOTES: Amtrak received only one order of these cars. An Ex-Santa Fe High-Level Heritage Sleeper was used for several years as a crew car before these cars were delivered.
