My afternoon on the Nevada Southern was excellent! My thanks to every member of the crew at this fine museum for a job well done. If you get a chance, check out their official web site at www.nevadasouthern.com. After railfanning this excellent railroad, I headed back to my hotel in Henderson only to find something else wrong with my rental car! This time, there was a non-safety related problem with one of the wheel covers. I had a rep from an Enterprise location in Henderson look at the car and it was determined it was not a safety issue so I could continue driving the car. I then drove over to the Flamingo Las Vegas Hotel & Casino where my parents were staying and visited them as they were in town on vacation. Later on, I met up with my sister who was also in town with a couple friends from work and we all went to Panda Express. We all eventually met up at the Fremont Street Experience in the old downtown section of Vegas. This is an area that is an actual street that is closed off to car traffic and has a full round roof overhead which is also a video projection system. Tonight, there was a dedication to the band KISS and it was awesome!!! Below is a page with some more scenic (and maybe not so scenic, depends on what you like!) photos taken on this trip! Enjoy...
