Photos Taken On Amtrak's Capitol Limited

Amtrak's hopefully "experimental" Diner-Lounge interior. This car was being used as a regular functioning dining car
on the Capitol Limited. This train is due to get a normal dining car back once others are rebuilt at Beech Grove.

Railroad French Toast and Sausage Patties, delicious breakfast in the dining car!!!

Norfolk Southern's 63rd Street/Park Manor Intermodal Yard just outside Chicago.

Crossing the Metra Rock Island District line that runs between Chicago's LaSalle Street Station and Joliet.

The Dan Ryan Expressway (I-90 & I-94) with the Chicago Skyline in the background.

U.S. Cellular Field, home of the Chicago White Sox.

Crossing the Canadian National (Formerly Illinois Central) east-west main. This line was used by many
railroads including the Santa Fe for passenger trains to access the Dearborn Street Station.

Crossing over the Chicago River near Union Station.

Two Metra Locomotives that we passed when we made our turn onto the BNSF main before arrival at Union Station.

Chicago's Willis Tower (They don't call it the Sears Tower anymore as Sears no longer has the naming rights).

LEFT: Some new signals going in on the BNSF! RIGHT: Backing onto the lead tracks to Union Station off the BNSF main.

Roosevelt Avenue overpass, Oh I can't wait to go railfanning there!!!

Amtrak Track Geometry Car "Corridor Clipper" was along for the ride on the Capitol today!

Special Thanks to Trainorders.com for assistance in the identifying of the locations of some of the above photos! Now let's head out to visit one of the best museums that Chicago has to offer. There is something for everyone at the Museum Of Science And Industry!!!
