AORTA wants you to know about and utilize the public transportation systems within your communities and throughout Oregon. To do so, we have compiled this listing of public transportation links for your reference.

Amtrak offers service to Oregon communities along its Pacific Northwest Corridor between Eugene, Ore. and Vancouver, B.C. plus overnight intercity service to Los Angeles and to Chicago, with connections from there to other national Amtrak routes:

  • Cascades -- Eugene, Albany, Salem, Oregon City and Portland to Seattle and Vancouver, B.C.
  • Coast Starlight -- Klamath Falls, Chemult, Eugene, Albany, Salem and Portland to Seattle and Los Angeles
  • Empire Builder -- Portland/Seattle to Chicago
  • Thruway Bus Service -- Portland to Salem, Albany and Eugene; Redmond to Bend and Chemult; Portland to Seaside, Cannon Beach and Astoria (Provided by ODOT/Oregon Coachways)
  • Thruway Bus Service -- Albany to Corvallis and Newport (provided by Valley Retriever)
  • Thruway Bus Service -- Ontario to Bend, Eugene and Coos Bay (Provided by Porter Stage)

Greyhound Bus Lines provides intercity motor bus service along the major highway corridors in Oregon, including the Interstate 5 and Interstate 84 corridors. Some of this service is coordinated with Amtrak and is included in its Thruway network.

The Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) provides a listing of intercity motor bus services throughout Oregon.
