UP Heritage Train
On March 22, 2007, Union Pacific's special "Heritage" passenger train came through Abilene. The train was here to promote safety on and around trains and tracks.
|
It was led by engine #4141, UP's tribute to President George H.W. Bush. The engine's paint scheme is based on Air Force One, and its number reflects the Senior Bush's status as the 41st President of the U.S.

Founder's Day 2007
T&P Depot,
Downtown Abilene
The club displayed its modular layout for this annual street festival. Several members also displayed their personal portable layouts in O, HO, and N scales.

|

Member Dusty Garison brought his 42" x 32" N-scale coffee table layout.
|

Visitors to the exhibit enjoyed the variety of operating layouts.
|

Member Ken England operated what he calls his "family reunion" 4'x8' layout. Here, a T&P unit in their Swamp Holly orange holds the main, while an Abilene & Southern steam engine works the siding.
