Independent Locomotive Service (ILSX) is
a Minnesota rebuilder based in Bethel and Thief River Falls. Much of
their equipment is first generation, low horsepower, diesels leased to industrial
and grain elevator customers. See Miscellaneous Grain pages for many
examples of ILSX power in other's paint schemes.
Independent Locomotive Service is also part owner of of Minnesota Northern
(MNN), St Croix Valley (SCXY), and Minnesota Southern Railway (formerly
