Trains - Arizona Eastern

Arizona Eastern (AZER) primarily serves the Phelps-Dodge copper mining operations at Globe/Miami, Arizona, and other section north of Lordsburg, NM.   They operate 135 miles of former SP track in SE Arizona; interchanging with UP at Bowie, AZ, and Lordsburg.

They were part of Rail America, until RA sold AZER to Iowa Pacific Holdings' subsidiary Permian Basin Railways in December 2004, which resold it to Genesee & Wyoming in 2011.
