The San Luis Central (SLC) operates 13 miles of trackage from Monte Vista, CO, to Central, CO. They haul potatoes, grain, and fertilizer for online businesses.  They own 2 locomotives and about 800 freight cars. SLC was featured in the February 2007 TRAINS issue.
