UP 6498 leads an empty coal drag, soon to be heading down the tracks toward Provo and eastward over Soldier Summit to the coal fields of Utah.

Well Friday afternoon has arrived and sure as shooting there are a few horses in the stable for the westbound departures. Today's activities include the yard area around Salt Lake City, and out toward the lake when the sun gets a bit lower to try my luck there. After taking stock of what was in the yards, I decided to catch what I could in town first. And my first catch was a short local with a caboose!
