| Here's a variety of rail scenes around central Wisconsin in January 2011 |
| Note the new white horizontal antenna on the new tower south of the Stevens Point depot. |

WC 315 Jordan Spreader was parked by the depot for a few days in mid-January. I read that it's in Green Bay Feb 4th, after they got some snow from the big storm (and we didn't get any!) |
|
And I ran my spreader at the Arctic Run model railroad show in Stevens Point. I'll have to make a new separate web page about my fun HO size model snow plows. |
| The days are getting longer but not quite enough yet for easy photography. |
| Ore trains are running but this is the most I have seen of them |
|
The blue GT has been going to the Whiting mill. I don't know the final days when the mill closes and this switch job won't be here anymore. And I see a black IC (1036) also working our area now. |
| The usual switch engines are working the Point yard |
| A switch engine or two sit in Plover overnight. |
|
There's plenty of main line trains. On a Saturday morning there seems to be a crowd of east -west meets between 9 and 11 am. Then a lull, and the switch job from Plover / Whiting P-line comes in. After noon, the Waupaca turn heads east and that's when the mainline trains disappear for two hours. |
|
Missed a great sunshine morning picture at the Wisconsin River in Rapids. Had to climb a 12 foot pile of plowed snow and didn't have time to cross the peaks of the 'Himalayas' to get an un-obstructed view. Have several cloudy morning pictures, but sunshine is better. |
|
And a grafitti artist might have predicted Winter. We didn't get anything but cold air from the snow storm that buried Illinois and southeastern Wisconsin. |
