A sand plant is being built on the northeast corner of Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin.
I might suppose this will supply 'frac' and drilling sand going to the natural gas producing areas of the south-central U.S. and Canada?

Looking closer, two Wisconsin Northern engines are by the main track on the right.
Eight silos are being built.
I don't know what will connect the silo area to the track loading area.
I would guess conveyors.
And I don't know if this sand is processed enough that it would be put in covered hoppers for protection.
The sand trains loaded many miles north of here are open hoppers, and it's dumped in by end loaders.
