Hoover Avenue 2011 .

Hoover Avenue 2011

Stevens Point, Wisconsin, has some snow flakes on Tuesday May 2nd, 2011.
It's 10am and at first I thought maybe this train is the push-pull to Green Bay,
but that more likely was the train disappearing in the distance.

.

.

Here's the west end of the train, and that's the head end after all.

.

Heading west over Hoover Avenue.

.

.

The rear end is approaching Hoover.

.

. . . . . . . .. and the train disappears into the yard. . . . . . . .. . . this is a pole camera picture.

.

A story in the newspaper says it will be 3 or 4 years before Hoover Avenue will go over- or under- the tracks, and they haven't decided yet.
Until then, they are considering installing automatic signs several blocks away from the crossing
to give motorists advance notice that a train is occupying the crossing and they can make their own detour.
For my aerial view of Hoover Avenue, see Hoover 2010
