For reference, here is a 2008 picture of the Black Bridge crossing the Wisconsin River in Stevens Point, Wisconsin.

It's name might be black, but it isn't that color anymore.

A wide-angle and stitched picture has a lot of distortions.

A view from down river, without all the distortion.
I always liked the unique character of the foundations. One pier is poured concrete in the water, the other is on a natural rock.

As viewed from the east shore by the water works, it is easy to see the west span but not the middle and east spans.

One pier has a crumbling face on the south side.
|

|
The rest of the pier looks better.
