December 8th-16th, 2011; central Wisconsin, USA. No real amount of snow around here. Not a typical winter yet.

The Wisconsin River was almost frozen once after this picture, then the weather came back up to the 30's for a day. People were ice fishing on the quiet ponds in the area, but the ice was maybe just 2 inches thick. |

The WC 1565 sw1500 is around Wisconsin Rapids, and it's still in WC colors. Is that the last one that hasn't been repainted to CN colors? I didn't get pictures of it twice, the batteries were too cold to keep the camera alive. . . There's bad news from two businesses in central Wisconsin.
Wausau Papers of Brokaw, Wisconsin, announced they will close by the end of March, 2012. .
