It's a big place, and maybe a rarity, considering it is the last heavy industry in an old industrial area.
I used to watch the CNW switch this place in the evenings, over 35 years ago. |

All the pipes and conveyors and brick buildings would make a great Walthers model building kit. . They have at least two big wheel loaders. Each can push one or two empty hoppers from the little yard to the loading bays. |

In the afternoon, I heard a horn in Schofield. I didn't get on the sunny side in the short time before a train arrived. I would have expected this southbound leaving Wausau about 11am, but this Saturday it is almost 2pm. |
. . . . i will guess there were over 80 cars in the train.
