Last week, it rained and wiped out most of our first snow.
On Thursday, December 20, 2012, it snowed across the middle of Wisconsin.
We got 9 inches in Plover. It snowed less in counties west and north of here. And a foot in Madison. And rain in Milwaukee.
We had some cloudy days afterward.
Here's some blue morning pictures the day after the snow.

. . . The historic farm machinery was well blanketed.

The Wisconsin River in Rapids was churned up by the wind. A gray GT is coming across with paper mill traffic. The river started freezing during the calm the next morning, when the temperature was in the single digits. |
