My last railroad page showed some Wisconsin snow. Then the sun came out. |
| In Plover, Wisconsin, a maintenance crew is sweeping switches. |
| The Biron switch job is coming past the taverns on the east side of the Wisconsin River in Wisconsin Rapids. |
|
The next day the temperature is down to -10 f. That can put some delays into schedules. I am waiting for a late train to clear highway 54. This job should have run about 5 hours earlier in the dark of night, and maybe by the other route through Junction City? Today they are going from Stevens Point thru Plover to Wisconsin Rapids. |
.
| They are easy to get ahead of. |
.
| Some icicles, but nothing serious today. |
.
| Lots of empty sand hoppers on the front end. Also on the back end. |
.
|
Pulp wood in the middle. And my fingers are too cold to enjoy hanging around to take a picture of snow drifting behind their FRED. |

.
| The train along Highway 54 isn't in a hurry, otherwise they will have to wait for this papermill job that is sorting clay tank cars at the Wisconsin River. |
