Point Roundhouse in 2016

Point Roundhouse in 2016

It was a long enough Winter, the day got above freezing, and the wind settled down from a new quarter.
The last time I flew this kite, it flopped into Lake Superior. I did some tuneups and learned some kite settings from the Internet, and gave it another test.

Stevens Point, Wisconsin, car shop and roundhouse.

.

The car mover trackmobile is on the turntable, lining up for a shove into the east end of the car shop.
(from the ground, I didn't even know this action was taking place. I think its rare to see anything on the turntable).

.

It's a Sunday, and I think there are more engines in town than usual. The 2 white vertical tanks are the new part of the fueling facility.

.

Here is an over-all view from the roundhouse to the yard.

.

(Cropping into a picture to see the yard.)
The large white building on the left / north is the former Copps food warehouse.
In the hazy horizon on the upper right are 2 small specs that are the large galvanized grain bins in Stockton, 2 miles away.

.

And link to Roundhouse in 2013 with the old single diesel fuel tank and the sand tower painted WC brown.
And that page has links to older pages, but the 2008 page won't link because it was on the now defunct NexGen site.
If someone wants to see that, I could look in my files and re-post it on an active site. I have roundhouse aerials back to about 2007?
And i should make a modern duplicate that would match the direction of a 1950's aerial view from the NorthEast, in the Portage County Historical Society.
