CN Wisconsin Central Heritage locomotive 3069 passing through Stevens Point

Monday, December 7, 2020.
Railfans have been watching and reporting the movement of the recently painted CN Heritage units that commemorate railroads that have made up the system from the last 25 years. A very historic idea, and very colorful.

Often, they have come through Point at inconvenient times for me. Sometimes at night.
This one time it was daytime. It was a cloudy day, but at least I didn't have to worry about being on the shady side for pictures.

It is leading a train this time, instead of being a rear DPU.

Pulling west, past the depot.

The front of the train was empty potash, the rear was empty oil.
Two locomotives on the rear.

John K came over to the depot and watched the Heritage Unit.
He was decorating the Soo Line 2713 for Christmas.
See his web page, Friends of 2713

.

And a quarter mile away was an older original Wisconsin Central unit, an SW 1500, WC 1560, working in the yard.
