Railroading over the Plover River in December 2020

Stevens Point, Wisconsin, USA. Mid December-r-r.
The edges of the river are freezing. We had a little snow but it melted.

The east end of the rail yard goes over the Plover River. It's easy to park here on Patch street and wait for a train.
Or take a hike on the Green Circle Trail, which goes under the bridge.

The WC 1570 and WC 1560 are switching the yard.

.

Here's a surprise, a Winchester Western hopper.
.

Some geese are still around. Half-standing in the shallows of the sand bars.
.

And an eastbound auto-rack train comes through.
