If you have Windows XP as an operating system for your computer and are experiencing difficulty getting in to club pages such as addresses and members personal information, it may be due to settings on your system. To access change the following:
While your internet browser is on select TOOLS top right of page
Select INTERNET OPTIONS
Select SECURITY tab at top of options popup
Select CUSTOM LEVEL button
Scroll down to ALLOW WEBSITES TO PROMPT FOR INFORMATION USING SCRIPTED WINDOWS
Select ENABLE
Select OK
Select APPLY
Select OK
The reasoning behind the need for a security setting change is that XP windows is blocking the type of scripting that we are is using unless the access is buried in the root directory at the URL. We do not have access the root directory of www.Trainweb.org, only the subdirectory of /BSG. The change in settings will allow your XP to work like windows 98 regarding this ability. While this setting is on, take care in what ever website you are on when providing personal information through pop up wintows, or simply change it back when you have the Badgerland information you require.
Our only other option for password protection is to have our own web address which will come from Badgerland funds. Contact your webmaster for the password if you have lost or forgotten it.
