The Barron River and the Barron Falls also the Kuranda Railway.

The source of the Barron River is the hot steamy rainforest on the flanks of the Escarpment that is the Barron Tableland.

A well known tourist attraction is the Barron Falls on that other nearby famous Kuranda Railway.

In full flood the River generates an impressive display and an awesome sound.

The Barron Falls 'in-the-dry' reveal the rock that underlies the Tableland.
Good rock for railway ballast, hence the Barron River Quarry's Ballast Skips that convey ballast to the maintenance gangs.
