A "mock-up" of the DUNKIRK, B Class, this CAB does not look right so I will make one.
A second attempt at a "mock-up" of the DUNKIRK, B Class, the stepped Bunker was tried in an effort to get Cab & Boiler further forward, but it does not look right.
A third attempt, without the stepped Bunker now looks better if a little high.
All this put & take is aimed at capturing the character of this type of loco
with some freelance use of bits from the scrap box & no attempt to be an exact model.
It will be based on this loco on an Aristo-Craft Motor Block.
The bogie frames are flimsy looking and yet had to hide the Arist-Craft Motor Block.
Four (4) layers of 2.0mm styrene were temporarily glued together, then fritted out.
The drawing made from the photo of bogie side frames with holes to match Motor Block.
Then frame layers are added, next will be springs, bolster end, journals & bolts, nuts.
The truck or bogie frames include brake beams.
The frames ready for paint, the front bogie is an idler (un-powered).
Brake beams yet to be added, ready to fit to footplate frame bolsters.
