The real bridge at Gundagai NSW after which the main span was modelled.

Lapstone Bridge - This heritage listed timber truss bridge replaced an earlier sandstone arch viaduct.
It too, was known as Lapstone Bridge and was washed out in the severe flood of 1894.

The abutment is all that remains of the original stonework from the pre 1894 bridge.
