Niagara Falls Railway Museum
Formed in 1996, the Niagara Falls Railway Museums mandate is to promote the
heritage, value and enjoyment of railways in and around Niagara Falls, Ontario.
Their collection started in 1994 with an assortment of railway documents and
photographs. Since then their document collection has grown to include operating manuals
and over 500 railroad related blueprints.
The Niagara Falls Railway Museum collection also includes three railway motorcars, a
very rare hand operated crane, an antique rail grinder and a TH&B railway baggage
cart.
Possessions also include a collection of three models representing various railway
bridges in the Niagara Region. All three models were built in the 1960s by the late
Frank Sloan and are on permanent loan to the Niagara Falls Railway Museum from the Sloan
family.
