CAPT Board Meeting
Charleston, S.C.
April 20, 2013

The Carolinas Association for Passenger Trains will meet at the Charleston County Main Public Library on Saturday, April 20th, 2013. The address is 68 Calhoun Street and the meeting will be in Conference Room A. The library's phone number is 843-805-6930. There is an enclosed parking garage adjacent to the library which permits access to the library by taking an elevator from the parking level entrance. Parking is free for the first hour and is $1.00 for each additional hour after that.

For those who don't trust GoogleMap, their GPS or other devices, the directions to the library are as follows: Take I-26 East toward Charleston and take Exit 221B; follow Meeting Street to Calhoun Street. Make a left turn on Calhoun Street and the library will be on the left just past Elizabeth Street.

Those wishing to have lunch prior to the meeting can meet in front of the main entrance doors on Calhoun Street at 11:30 a.m. to walk as a group to one of the many fine dining establishments in the immediate vicinity. After lunch, we will return to the library by 1:00 p.m. for our board meeting and we will have the meeting room until 5:45 p.m. (the library closes at 6 p.m. on Saturdays).

If our meeting is over early enough, those who are interested will carpool over to the site of the proposed Multi-modal Transportation Center. The center is not under construction yet, but does have partial funding at this time. It would house Amtrak, and local and regional transportation services.
