Our Mission...

The Columbus Area Railroad Club is dedicated to serving all those interested in the preservation of railroad history through the use of modeling, photography, artifact preservation, and railfanning.  The club was formed in 1994 and moved into our current home in December of 1998.

The Columbus Area Railroad Club room is located on the grounds of the Johnson County Park and features operating model train layouts in N, HO, and G gauges.  Plus, you will be treated to ever changing displays of railroad photography and railroad artifacts.  There is also a children's play area where little hands can get their first taste of railroading.

Third Annual On30 Mini Meet

The Columbus Area Railroad Club will be hosting the 3^rd Annual On30 Mini Meet at our new location in the Johnson Country Park Office on Saturday, April 24, 2010, from 10 AM to 4 PM.

Notice!

We are sorry to report that due to the club moving to a new location in Johnson Country park (we are now located in the rear of the park office) in December 2009, that all open houses are cancelled until further notice.  The move required that most of the existing layouts be dismantled and/or disposed of.  We hope to starting having open houses again sometime in 2010 once new construction begins.
