Anaheim, California, July 26, 2004, 4 to 5 pm.

The animal walk to the arena took place at 2:30 pm this day, but I was unable to get to the rail site until later because of a delayed ending to my California Zephyr trip.  (See: http://trainweb.org/carl/CaliforniaZephyr2004/Pt3.html)

However, I was able to find 54 cars of the RBBB Circus train, in the three locations I'd found them in 2003.  I provide the consist below:

16 Flat cars:

85704, 80705, 80712, 80711, 80702, 85702, 84706, 84704, 80704, 84718, 84719, 84717, 85703, 80707, 80703, 80710.

I wrote down the numbers of the animal cars and drove west on Cerritos, across State College, and Lewis.  I stopped at the railroad crossing west of Lewis parked, and looked south and saw the residential cars parked in two sets, just like last year, with Ball Road crossing beyond the two sets.  As always, halfway south on Lewis, before Ball, is another crossing.  Just south of this crossing, adjacent to the track is a dirt road.  You can follow this road, westward to a parking area, adjacent to the residential cars.  Here are the RBBB buses used to carry workers and performers to and from performances.  Also parked here are some cars owned by employees.

Animal Cars at Cerritos Ave. and Sunkist:  63009 (1), 60006 (2), 60010 (3), and 60017 (4).

20  Residential Cars, starting down the right side of the picture to the right: 41307, 41304/185, 41302/184, 41310/183, 60011/182, 63001/181, 40011/180?, 42015/179, 41305/178, 43003/177, 41303/176, 41309/175?, 42102/174, 43009/173, 40006/172, 43007/171, 41301/170, 40016/169, 41314/168, 60001/167 (Shop Car?).

Looking back north, up the train sets, the west set is 20 cars, the right set is 16 cars.

The rest of the residential cars were on the adjacent track in a set of 14.  Their numbers were:  43001/187, 42101/188, 42103/189, 41404/190, 41312/191, 43012/192, 40013/193, 41402/194, 42104/195, 42006/196, 42009/197/ 42005/198, 40014/199, 63005/200 (shop.generator car?)

(Right)  As I walked the second set, recording car numbers, There was a set of freight cars on a third set of tracks with cargo for/from adjacent businesses.  It was hot, 85 degrees, and no air stirred between these cars which might be there for the duration of circus' stay in town.  Air conditioning is a must for the residents of the train.
