<>We took David to the Lookout for the first time.  We were lucky, 14 trains passed in the hour or so that we were there.  Chris tallied them on the center column, between the windows, inside the Lookout.

We Californians were excited to see a Surfliner Coach from 'our' San Diego to San Luis Obispo line that we use often back home.  Heck, that tree above the lookout is beginning to look like a Palm Tree!

After Dinner at the Red Rooster, Chris had another trip planned, so he had to get back to Southern California.  He left Friday Night.  It so happened that another rail-fan family from Lee Summit, MO, who had taken the train to La Plata just to stay at the Depot Inn, were leaving on the same train.

After the Southwest Chief left, we returned to the Depot Inn & Suites for another evening of PTHS Meeting and Dave's Slides.

It was agreed to meet the following morning when Ray Ivy would take us on a Train Chasing Event west of La Plata.
