Note To Figures C.-The letters T. O. will be omitted when signal is attached to Train Order Office.

    Note. Red or yellow light will be displayed on train order signal board by night in addition to red or yellow board.

    Flashing red light on mast of fixed signal, bracket post, or signal bridge is indication for trains approaching in that direction on any track to prepare to receive or stop for orders.

    Semaphore arms may have either square or round ends and may be displayed in upper or lower quadrant.

    225. When train orders are to be handed on, the the speed of the train must be reduced sufficiently to enable the Operator to deliver the order.

   227. When a train order station is open at an irregular hour, trains must be notified by when possible by train order, or by special instructions.

   When a train order station is open at an irregular hour, Operators will use hand signals in addition to fixed signals to stop trains, for delivery of train orders requiring stop of for delivery, until all trains have passed which have not been notified.

   228. A train order office must not be closed except upon authority of the Train Displatcher. To close a train order office, the Operator will record the time on station record of train movements, secure the train order signal in clear position, and when necessary, properly arrange communication circuits. Train order signal and other lights will be extinguished unless otherwise provided.
