Welcome to the Class 40 Appeal

Loco Hire

The Class 40 Appeal welcomes enquiries from preserved railways who may be interested in hiring one of our locomotives for a forthcoming Diesel Gala, Special Event or Long Term Agreement.

The group currently owns three English Electric locomotives, these are Class 37:- number 37314 Dalzell, Class 40:- number D212 Aureol and Class 50:- number 50007 Sir Edward Elgar.

All three locomotives are available for hire
