Life-Like Proto 2000 GP7 #5778...
One of several units returned to the Chessie System from
the South Shore in 1981, #5778 lasted for several years in a rather unique
paint scheme. It has the smallest "C&O" lettering I've ever seen
and it wore the original #1506 numberboards, despite wearing #5778 on the
sides. These units were renumbered to make room on the C&O roster
for the GP15Ts.
