A&E Alignment Shop, Martinsburg, WV
This little building is a long time landmark in
Martinsburg. Located right by Consumers Fuel and the B&O
Freight Station, it still stands today, though it is closed and
boarded up. I made it out of Grandt Line Windows and
Northeastern Scale Lumber. The roof is styrene. It is
painted with Tamiya Flat Red paint and Rustoleum Flat White.
I weathered it with a rounded blade to scrape away the paint and
an India ink wash. The sign is a computer print out of a
photo I took on a vist there.
Below is a shot of the real shop around 2007. Note
the boarded up windows and doors are post Chessie era features.
