Bill Carl's Model Trains Bill Carl
Bill Carl sent in these photos of his impressive Magnolia Cutoff sectional layout.  Work is still in progress on it, but I think you will agree, Bill does great work.

Below is GP40 #3795, still in circus paint, crossing one of the Magnolia Cutoff bridges.  Notice the second unit is a C&O blue painted unit.  This is a typical consist.

Below B&O SD50 #8587 is working as the second unit on a coal drag.  This was typical work for SD50s after their arrival in the mid 1980's.

Below is a shot of the same locomotive on the point this time on the return trip.

Below is a pic of a "what could have been".  It is a GP38-2 B unit.  These cabless units were actually used by the Burlington Northern.  Chessie never owned any, but it sure looks good as a model.

Below is the B unit working with GP38 #4810.
