La Plata, LTT and the Trip Home

4/7/2012 I got up early and worked on finishing up the other story from yesterday. After I did that now I will show you some of the new and a few old pictures in the Pullman Suite.

The pictures in the Pullman Suite. From here after listening to CD's, I met Nathan and after looking at the Doppler Radar, I changed the plan and we headed for Gibbs. We decided to go to the Cranberry Lane Bridge over the BNSF mainline.

Union Pacific 5521 East at the Cranberry Lane bridge over the BNSF mainline. We relocated to the Century Lane grade crossing just west of Gibbs.

BNSF 7317 West at Century Lane west of Gibbs.

BNSF 7317 East at Century Lane west of Gibbs. From here we headed back to Banner Road.

We caught the train end of this eastbound.

BNSF 7507 East at Banner Road just as the rains began. We returned to the Depot Inn & Suites to pick up a few needed items before we headed out to the Chris Guenzler Million Mile Lookout Point to do the Let's Talk Trains Show at Noon getting there just before the rains started again. We set up to do the show.

The Southwest Chief came by first on a dark morning leaving La Plata almost on time.

The BNSF 7201 West almost snuck by us this morning.

BNSF 7835 East came next.
