Photo Runby 5, after which everyone reboared the train and we continued on to Waterloo, crossing Bear Creek and Mud Creek before running through Vinton.

The train ran through Vinton and its Rock Island station built in 1900, as well as Rock Island caboose 17823, nee Rock Island 17023 built by International Car in 1958.

The Cedar River. The train crossed Hinkle Creek before running by the Terra and United States Steel spurs then through the woods and fields with many deer seen along our route.

Fields on the way to Mount Auburn. We crossed Spring Creek then ran into La Porte City.

The train pulled into near the Iowa Northern Railroad shop complex where some of us would have a catered lunch inside, although most would eat outside.
