Kingman Canyon and the west end of the BNSF Seligman Sub 1/3/2012 Part 2

by Chris Guenzler

As we left Kingman we became Railfans Chasing Trains and got to chase through Kingman Canyon and out onto Interstate 40 where we exited on Griffith Road.

BNSF 4028 West at Griffith Road. From here we got back on Interstate 40 and exited at Proving Ground Road and took that to a private grade crossing in Yucca.

BNSF 4091 East at Yucca.

Me wearing my Railfans Chasing Trains Shirt.

The rear of the BNSF 4091 East at Yucca. They were single tracking due to a tie replacement project so our BNSF 4028 was stuck at Yucca. With not the best lighting we got back on the Interstate 40 which we took to Franconia Road which took us to the BNSF mainline.

BNSF 4028 West at Franconia. We got back on Interstate 40 and then exited at Topock.

Today proves that the Santa Fe lives on in 2012 on bridges.

The Colorado River BNSF Bridge. From Topock we crossed into California and exited on Park Moabi Road to the bridge over the BNSF mainline.

BNSF 7260 East at Park Moabi Road.

BNSF 7500 West at Park Moabi Road.

BNSF 7630 West at Park Moabi Road.

BNSF 7857 West at Park Moabi Road. With that train and feeling tired we returned to our room at the Motel 6 in Needles. I finished these next two parts {todays} then went to Denny's for dinner before relaxing the rest of the night.
