The Annual Rail Travel Meetup Group Christmas Party Fullerton, CA 12/16/2013

by Chris Guenzler

After working at my new job at Heninger Elementary School, I came home and prepared myself to be driven to Fullerton by Winston Walker along with his daughter Christy. We were near Fullerton and had a BNSF stack train heading west. When we pulled up to park at the Old Spaghetti Factory, which is inside the old Union Pacific Fullerton station, I excused myself to Knowlwood's to get a hot dog which I took over to the platform to eat. I met Winston and Christy there and we would watch trains until party time.

BNSF 7178 East was the first train, followed by Metrolink 705, but something about it caught my eye.

Metrolink coach 198 had the $10 Weekend Day Pass Saturday or Sunday wrap on it.

Pacific Surfliner 580 arrived next.

Pacific Surfliner 579 came in, with AC Adam aboard, who soon joined us.

BNSF 7854 East.

BNSF 6861 West was a light engine move, which met Metrolink 602, and another surprise.

Metrolink coach 199 with the Orange Country Fair wrap on it. Let's take a closer look at this car.

Metrolink 602 departed bound for Oceanside.

Pacific Surfliner 582 arrived on its way to San Diego. After it left we walked over to the Old Spaghetti Factory for the party.

Scenes from the excellent Annual Rail Travel Meetup Group Christmas Party. After a fine evening we all headed home.

May you all have the best holiday season ever!
