The Trip

It was now time for the 10:00 AM train ride at the Maine Narrow Gauge Railroad Museum.

The entrance to the ticket office and museum.

The train was ready to go so Robin and I boarded the first coach behind the engine for our trip along Casco Bay in Portland. There were cruise ship passengers on the train and we would reverse to pick up more of them before proceeding along Casco Bay.

The locomotive cab.

The interior of our coach.

The trip started with reversing the train to the west end of the track to pick up the rest of the cruise ship passengers.

What a wonderful trip it was along Casco Bay.

Our train at the east end of the excursion.

The Saco River drawbridge.

Casco Bay views. Everyone reboarded for the journey back to the boarding area. What a fantastic trip it was to finally ride along Casco Bay on the Maine Narrow Gauge Railroad Museum train and we would like to thank the museum for having us here today. Robin and I made our way out of Portland and took US Highway 1 south to our final stop in the State of Maine.
