A Maine Narrow Gauge Railroad Museum Trip 6/25/2015 Part 2

by Chris Guenzler

The Trip

It was now time for the 10:00 AM train ride at the Maine Narrow Gauge Railroad Museum.

The train was ready to go. Robin and I boarded the first coach behind the engine for our trip along Casco Bay in Portland. There were cruise ship passengers on the train and we would reverse to pick up more of them before leaving on the trip forward along Casco Bay.

The view of our locomotive cab.

The inside of our coach.

The trip started with reversing the train to the west end of the track to pick up the rest of the cruise ship passengers. Now sit back and enjoy the views as we take the Maine Narrow Gauge Railroad Museum trip along Casco Bay.

What a wonderful trip it was along Casco Bay. Remember you have only until 2017 to take this fantastic train ride. We were allowed off the train at the east end of the railroad.

Our train at the east end of the trip.

Three views of the Saco River drawbridge.

The views from the east end of the railroad. Everyone reboarded for the trip back to the boarding area. What a fantastic trip it was to finally ride along Casco Bay on the Maine Narrow Gauge Railroad Museum train. We would like to thank the Maine Narrow Gauge Railroad Museum for having us here today. Robin and I made our way out of Portland and took US Highway 1 south to our final stop in the State of Maine.
