Bart and Sarah Jennings really enjoyed their day at the Sears Point Race Track. We walked over to the Sunoco Winners Lane but since I could not see the winner, I headed back to the train and sat at a table in the "Eel River". After a while I used the PA to tell Bart and Sarah where I was sitting. A few minutes later,Sarah came and said they were in the first car which was empty at this point. I stayed here to get a few pictures before joining them. The train left a few minutes later and we were headed back to Sacramento.
As you can see from the traffic coming down the hill, that is where the idea for the race train was born.
The train took a curve.

The Schellville station built in 1888. After Napa Jct I walked to where Bart and Sarah were seated and we talked all the way back to Sacramento. We had ice cream and a visit from Marilyn and Elvis. Dave Arthur then joined us after which we stopped at Suisan-Fairfield then Davis before we arrived in Sacramento. I said my goodbyes to my best friends before I walked back to the Vagabond Inn for the night.
The trip home 6/27/2016I was up at 5:45 AM and after checking out, I walked back to the station and sat on the platform waiting for the doors of San Joaquin 702 to open.
San Joaquin 702 waiting to take me to Bakersfield. I took a seat at a table and worked on this story most of the way down the San Joaquin Valley. The train got a tired Chris to Bakersfield then on the bus via Glendale and I read my Nascar Race booklet. We arrived at LAUPT and I took Pacific Surfliner 580 to Santa Ana with Gene from Phoenix where I then put my luggage in the car and a tired Chris walked over Track 1 to wait for Metrolink 641 to Fullerton for my Train Travel Meetup Group get-together tonight.
Metrolink 641 to Fullerton arrived in Santa Ana and I took this train to Fullerton. I found AC Adam on the platfrom and Robin Bowers showed up a few minutes later. We walked over to Joe's No Limit Restaurant and had the meeting then later walked over to see the Southwest Chief before I walked over to Track 3 to wait for Metrolink 608 which I took home. I drove home and did the watering before going to bed, ending my third Sears Point Race Train trip.
