Post La Plata Spring 2014 Railfan Event and Trip Home

by Chris Guenzler

4/10/2014 I woke up and took breakfast out to the Chris Guenzler Million Mile Lookout Point and uploaded yesterday's story. I had three eastbound trains while I was out there. I returned finished up breakfast and after checking things on line, I met Christy Walker and we drove out to Kenwood Road grade crossing.

BNSF 4783 East at the Clemson Lane grade crossing. We returned to the Depot Inn & Suites where I did my wash and worked on the story of what we just had done. I then relaxed for the rest of this afternoon. Christy and I went to Hardees to get dinner and pick up food for Winston who has not been feeling too well the last two days. At 7:00 PM I gassed the rental car for the last time for the trip and then drove Winston and Christy to the La Plata Amtrak station and then helped them board the ten minutes late Southwest Chief. I returned to the Depot Inn & Suites for the night and took a sauna bath in the Pullman Suites before calling it a night.
