by Chris Guenzler

The view looking back.

The St Louis River.

The train took this curve.

Scenes along the St Louis River.

Through the trees we rolled along.

Rails left between the tracks.

Scenes along our route.

A curve on our route.

Looking back.

Scenes along the St Louis River.

A look back.

These purple flowers I have been seeing all over the place in the last week.

The Oliver Bridge.

Three views as we crossed the Causeway along Mud Lake.

Our train passed beneath the Oliver Bridge over the St Louis River whose lower level holds highway traffic while the upper level carries Canadian National Trains.

Those photographers found us again.

Old radio antenna foundations in the St Louis River.

One more view of the Oliver Bridge.

Looking back before we pulled into Gary our turning back point. We would be allowed off of the train to photograph the engine running around our train on the siding.

Our train at Gary.

Our passengers coming to the photo line.

Photo Runby with our engine running around the train. I returned to the "Safari Car"

The engine came back towards our train.

I had never shot pictures of a coupling of a train before so I did it here.

Our female engineer enjoys her job running our train. I relaxed and enjoyed the trip back to West Duluth. The bus returned me to the Radisson and I walked the Duluth Skywalk like I have been doing all this week stopping at Subway and my favorite $.60 Coca-Cola Machine. I returned to the Best Western and wrote the Iron Range Tour story before calling it a night.
