Steam Engines I've ridden in my life! Part 2

The NRHS 2005 Convention In Portland, Oregon featured the Spokane, Portland & Seattle 4-8-4 700 and Southern Pacific 4-8-4 4449 pulling the Western Star Steam Special from Portland to Wishram, Washington. Here are the engines backing the train to the wye on July 6, 2005.





The NRHS 2005 Convention Mt Rainier Scenic Railroad Special on July 9th, 2005 used engines Westport Timber Co. Heisler 91 and Hillcrest Lumber Climax 10 on our trip. This runby was held at Divide, Washington.





The Cowlitz, Chehalis & Cascade 2-8-2 15 gave me a good ride on July 10, 2005 at Millburn, Washington as it ran around the train for the return trip to Chehalis.





The Georgia Agrirama Living History Museum has the Raritan River Sand Company 0-4-0 3 that we rode on November 22, 2005 at Tifton, Georgia.





I was aboard the Chehalis-Centralia Steam Charter on June 6, 2006 using the Cowlitz, Chehalis & Cascade 2-8-2 15 sponsored by the Southern Appalachia Railway Museum.





I rode the Timbers to Tidelands Steam Special Tacoma Rail and Mt. Rainier Scenic Railroads on June 7, 2006 from Morton to Tacoma sponsored by the Southern Appalachia Railway Museum.





The Spokane, Portland and Seattle 4-8-4 700 gave me a short ride from Oak Park in Portland on June 10, 2006.





I rode behind the Western Maryland Scenic Railroad 2-8-0 734 on July 14, 2006 and here is our engine about to enter the Brush Tunnel.





I rode the East Broad Top Railroad on July 16, 2006 behind the East Broad Top 2-8-2 15.





NRHS 2006 Convention Cincinnati Limited ran from Dennison to Newark on July 20, 2006 behind the Ohio Central 4-6-2 1293, ex Canadian Pacific. Here is the photo runby at Trinway, Ohio.





NRHS 2006 Convention "The Buckeye" was pulled by the Ohio Central 4-6-2 1293 from Morgan Run to Sugar Creek. Here is the photo runby at a farm crossing northeast of Morgan Run, Ohio.





I rode the Southern Pacific 4449 Excursion to Bend, Oregon and here is the photo runby on September 16, 2006 at Overbrook, Oregon.





The Texas State Railroad 2-8-0 300 pulled my train on December 31, 2006.





I rode the Strasburg Railroad on April 9, 2007 behind the Great Western 2-10-0 90. Later the same day the Great Western charged by my location at Cherry Hill Road in Amish Country in Pennsylvania.





I went to the Cass 40th Railfan Weekend at Cass and on May 19, 2007 rode behind the Cass Shay 2, Shay 4 and Heisler 6 as they climbed the grade in this picture.





The Steam Engine Races are held Sunday mornings during the Cass Railfan Weekends. This one was on May 20, 2007.





I rode the Milwaukee Road 4-8-4 261 to Duluth again and here is the engine at Duluth on June 3, 2007 preparing to return to the Twin Cities.





I rode the Remlinger Farm's Tolt River Railroad on August 8, 2007 and their Locomotive 7 is a 4-4-0 highly modified Crown Metal Works Wyan, PA.




At the NRHS 2007 Convention at Chattanooga I got first to ride behind the Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum 2-8-0 610 at their museum as part of a convention trip there.

Canadian Pacific 4-6-4 2816 pulled the Glenwood Turn crossing the Mississippi River at Minneapolis, Minnesota on September 8, 2007.




Canadian Pacific 4-6-4 2816 pulled the Dresser Turn on September 9, 2007.





Canadian Pacific 4-6-4 2816 and Milwaukee Road 4-8-4 261 pulled an excursion I rode from Minneapolis Jct to La Crosse on September 15, 2007.





Canadian Pacific 4-6-4 2816 took me from Shorehanm Yard in Minneapolis to Thief River Falls on September 16, 2007 seen here at Glenwood, Minnesota.





Canadian Pacific 4-6-4 2816 took me from Thief River Falls to Winnipeg, Manitoba on September 17, 2007 seen here at Thief River Falls, Minnesota.





McCloud River 2-8-2 18 and Sierra Railroad 2-8-0 28 provided the power for a trip on the Sierra Railroad on November 4, 2007 and this was the second photo runby of that day.





I rode Santa Fe 4-8-4 3751 San Diego Steam Special on June 1, 2008 and this was the photo runby at Carlsbad Poinsettia Station on the southbound trip.





Durango & Silverton K-36 2-8-2 486 pulled the train I rode to Silverton on July 17, 2008.





Cumber & Toltec Scenic Railroad K-36 2-8-2 488 pulled my train from Chama to Antonio on July 18, 2008.





Rio Grande Scenic 2-8-0 18 pulled our trip on the Rio Grande Scenic Railroad on July 19, 2008.





Milwaukee Road 261 took me on a Circle Trip this time down the ex Milwaukee Road Mainline to La Crosse and back to Minneapolis Jct on September 14, 2008. This picture was from Dakota on September 13, 2008.





The AAPRCO Santa Fe 4-8-4 3751 Excursion to San Diego and on to San Pedro on September 21, 2008. The train seen here backing across the San Diego River.





I rode Chinese QJ 2-10-2 7081 took me on a Flood Relief Trip from Rock Island to near Walcott, Iowa on October 18, 2008.





QJ 6988 and QJ 7081 took me from Rock Island to Iowa City on October 19, 2008 for Flood Relief. Here is our train after we had arrived into Iowa City.







The Riverside Live Steamers provided me with two rides behind the top engine on my first trip and the second engine on the lower picture. I rode these engines on February 22, 2009.





Ventura County 2-6-2 2 gave me a ride on February 22, 2009 at the Orange Empire Railway Museum.





I rode behind the Rio Grande 2-8-0 346 at the Colorado Railroad Museum 50th Birthday Celebrations on July 11, 2009.





I rode behind the Cripple Creek & Victor Railroad # 2 on July 12, 2009.





At TrainFestival 2009 I rode behind the Little River Railroad 4-6-2 110 on July 24, 2009.





I rode behind the Huckleberry Railroad Rio Grande "Mudhen" 2-8-2 464 north of Flint on July 24, 2009.





Nickel Plate Railroad 765 gave me two full days of ride from Owosso to Alma as part of TrainFestival 2009 on July 25th, 2009 here performing a photo runby in the park at Itacha, Michigan.





Laona & Northern Railway 2-6-2 4 gave me a ride to Camp 5 on August 7, 2009 at Laona, Wisconsin.





I visited and rode the Riverside and Great Northern Railway in Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin on August 8, 2009.





At the NRHS 2009 Steam on the Range Convention I rode "The Arrowhead Vacationer" pulled by Soo Line H23 4-6-2 2719 from Duluth to Two Harbors on August 13, 2009.





Westside Lumber Company Three Truck Shay 12 gave me a ride at the Old Thresher Reunion at Mt. Pleasant, Iowa onm September 5, 2009.





I finaly got to ride behind Pere Marquette 1225 along with the Nickel Plate 765 on a Fall Colors Trip from Alma to Cadillac, Michigan on 10/3/2009.



These are the steam engines that I have ridden in my life so far. I shall find more to ride in the future.
