Amtrak pulled the NRHS Lake Superior Limited from the Twin Cities to Duluth for the NRHS 2009 Convention. The passengers got some true rare mileage when due to track work the train detoured via the old Northern Pacific Freight Line to leave the Twin Cities on August 11, 2009.
Amtrak pulled the NRHS "The Duluth & Grand Rapids Day Express" on August 15, 2009 at Brookston, Minnesota doing a photo runby with the Great Northern Hustle Muscle on the point of our train. The next day Amtrak returned the all private car train back to the Twin Cities.
